As a respected brand, Wine, Water, and Wonders of New York State works closely and successfully with New York State as the leader in generating international visitation and awareness.
Q: What is WWWNYS?
A: WWWNYS is a New York-based (not for profit) 501c6 destination marketing company, providing partnership opportunities that educate international consumers, travel trade, and media on the tourism offerings of New York State beyond New York City and increase international awareness and business potential for its partners.
Q: Why should our destination, region, or company join WWWNYS?
A: Our founding partners have invested more than $1.5M to date in the marketing New York State and WWWNYS partners to international audiences throughout the UK/Ireland, Germany, France, and China. This is your chance to leverage our years of investment. Marketing internationally can be costly and confusing. WWWNYS has representation and experience in-market that can help increase the visibility of your destination and tour products to clients and consumers which would be unobtainable on your own. A: WWWNYS complements the work and is a staunch supporter and partner of I LOVE NY. WWWNYS has designed its marketing plans to support the sales and marketing activities set forth by I LOVE NY. However, WWWNYS has been able to augment those plans with reach into additional markets such as France and is seen as a leader in that market. Additionally, the organization is able to move swiftly and independently which is beneficial when last-minute opportunities arise.
Q: Can I join as a single TPA/CVB?
A: Absolutely. We welcome all partners, however, experience has shown that regional buy-in leverages your ability to be part of a more clearly defined product as seen from the international client or consumer perspective. And we know that visitors make choices about visiting destinations based on regional attributes, experiences, and attractions, not city or county lines.
Q: What has WWWNYS already accomplished?
A: A number of key performance indicators have been accomplished throughout the 15+ year history of WWWNYS. Having hired a professional research company, WWWNYS first measured success based on increased awareness, through multiple annual surveys of international travel trade. The brand has executed robust marketing plans targeting the UK, Germany, France, China, and Australia. Press trips, tour operator FAMS, sales missions, targeted tour package promotions, increased tour operator product, consumer shows and tour operator staff trainings, are just some of our previous activities. In-country reps have provided WWWNYS deeper engagement and visibility in those markets. The brand stayed relevant and highly engaged throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the reputation has remained strong with proof of that through sold-out appointment bookings at IPW in 2021 and 2022.
