The Ithaca area has a lot of activities to do with kids, often free or budget-friendly that will provide a fun experience for exploring and learning.  You’ll find something for family members of all ages and all abilities to enjoy.  

Points of Interest

The Sciencenter is an interactive children’s science museum inspiring excitement for science through interactive exhibits and programs that engage, educate, and empower. The hands-on museum offers guests of all ages more than 250 exhibits, weekly educational programs, a gift shop, an outdoor science park, and an 18-hole mini-golf course.

Kayak, stand up paddleboard, or canoe! Outfitters like Paddledockers and Paddle-n-more have rentals available from Taughannock Blvd, Taughannock Falls Park, and Myers Park in Lansing. Advance reservations are required. 

Free, and open to everyone, the Ithaca Children’s Garden has many features designed for the discovery and play of young children, but the whole family will be inspired at this 3-acre naturescape. It is located near the Cayuga Waterfront Trail, for additional walking and biking opportunities.
